This docufiction feature film was directed by Hayk Matevosyan and executive produced by Bela Tarr. The film premiered at Sheffield Doc Fest 2025 and also played at Goteberg Film Festival, Beijing International Film Festival, and International Film Festival of India. Much of the unique look of the film was created in Da Vinci Resolve. We created warp and blur effects reminiscent of practical lens effects like tilt/shift lenses, vaseline on the lens, and shooting through distorted mirrors. We also used film and grain emulation plugins to give it a 16mm aesthetic.
